The Educational Deal with Bloggers
Education is just not education anymore,
I tell you it’s true! With the introduction of the world wide web and devices
that give you what you need at your fingertips, has changed education
dramatically. There is a new face on education and the ways you can learn from
it. Even now, just this mode of transportation of information known as the
blog, is changing ways we all learn. Individuals seeking knowledge are no
longer restrained to the confinements of the classroom. No longer is there a
singular point of opinion and references. We now can see unfiltered and untamed
knowledge through reading blogs from bloggers that take to the internet to let
you know their take of the facts and trues of whatever topic you can desire.
Anyone can be a blogger, yes anyone can,
just look at me. I thought that being a blogger was out of my reach to
consider. Not to mention the process alone I believe to be too much of a hassle
and more complicated than I had time to put into. As I started my research I
realized that we are all bloggers in our own way and you just must find the
right means and platform in order to make your blog a reality. I started my
journey to becoming a blogger with Blogger by Google and I will say I learned
quite a bit about the blogger creation process and the blogger in me.
The first step to creating any blog is
to, create an account. Which seems like an easy thing but from my experience of
trying to create a wiki page and use Joki, it is not always that easy. However,
when I came to the Goggle blogger website I was pleasantly surprised that all I
had to do was log in. This is partly because I already have a connection with
Google products and my credentials were transferred into this platform from my
Gmail account. Once I logged in under my already existing profile there was a
disclaimer and a radio button that read “CREATE NEW BLOG”. My second step was
to come up with a title, an address (link) and a theme. Very easy process. I
will tell you the only challenge with this was deciding on an address that I
could be content with. The human mind is a force to be reckoned with when it
comes to creating the right hook for your message. Eventually I settled on EDU
651 My Experience of Creating a New Blog, CAadndE4Greatness.blogsot.com, and I
selected the theme Ethereal. I am glad there were not a lot of theme choices.
Sometimes to many choices and lead to indecision and halt the creative process.
At the end of my choices I clicked on “Create blog!” and bam, I am official!.
The next step that comes up is a search engine
in order to connect you with other blogs that might have the similar information
to your title. You can conduct the search or not. I did not in this case because
I know from just my general search that a lot of misinformation in regards to this
very course is out there on the internet and it leads you to sites that are educationally
unethical. I like the fact of my blog standing independent from anything that. I click on another "Create Blog" and a word document so to speak comes up and I can put in my information. There are tongs of things you can add in to include tags, location, links, videos, and more. Once done you click "publish", if not you can click "save" and return later. Always preview before you publish as you might not like your initial viewing. You can really create your own personal look. What a great experience. I look forward to my next installment and look forward to everyone's feedback!
